Showexpo has been organising trade fairs since 1980. We have a wide range of topics of expos; and among these the needs of handicapped takes the most important part because our handicapped citizens consist the %12.29 of our population in Turkey, which means there are 8.5 million disabled in our society. However, there is also a great lack of companies and enterprises supplying the special goods and instruments for them. Most of their needs are still being imported.

The great need to facilitate the life of  handicapped, to determine the related issues and search solutions for the existing problems urged us to bring together the public and private institutions producing services in this domain. Our 1st trade fair for handicapped was organised with this objectives and conference, panels and a symposium also took place during the fair.

The concern of official and non-official institutions was the basis of the success and encouraged us to organise a second trade fair on 11- 14 June 2009. We are looking forward to continue to draw the attention of public, press and multi-media to the interests of our disabled people.
